Here are a few suggestions to get you going.
1. You are gonna need a tripod, any cheapy will do, I suggest ebay or amazon.com.
2. Read up on RAW shooting (link provided on the side there).
3. Download a good image manipulation program. If you don't have access to Photoshop, I'd suggest GIMP. It's probably the best free tool out there. Link also on the side.
4. I'd also suggest a remote shutter release. Needed for long exposure shots. They go for like 10 bucks on ebay. NOTE: you can also use the on camera timer to do the touch free shutter release.
